How many connections are included in Free?
Free includes a Primary Connection plus one Additional Connection. Pro removes that limit and allows unlimited Additional Connections.
Is Smart Routing included in Free?
Yes. Free includes the complete visual grouped AND/OR routing system between its two connections. Conditions inside a group use AND logic, while groups are combined with OR logic.
What can Smart Routing match?
Rules can match the source plugin, To, CC, BCC, Reply-To, From, subject, email content and headers. When no rule matches, the Primary Connection is used.
Can I use one provider for normal mail and another for newsletters?
Yes. Free can route between its Primary and one Additional Connection. Pro is needed only when you want more than two connections or the advanced recovery and logging tools.
Does the plugin work before I configure a provider?
Yes. New installations use Default WordPress mail, so Titanium Mail SMTP does not block existing site emails while you configure an external provider.
Can I send HTML emails, attachments and inline images?
Yes. Supported delivery paths handle HTML and plain-text bodies, CC, BCC, Reply-To, custom headers, attachments and inline embeds where the provider API supports them.
Can I force the From Email and From Name?
Yes. Free includes From Email, From Name and force controls for consistent sender identity.
How do I test a connection?
Send a real test email through the Primary or Additional Connection. This verifies the same provider, credentials and delivery path used by normal WordPress emails.
Does Free send failure alerts?
Yes. Free can send a basic notification when WordPress reports a delivery failure. Pro adds graphical grouped alerts with clearer diagnostics and direct Email Log access.
Can credentials be stored in wp-config.php?
Yes. Supported API tokens and SMTP passwords can be defined as constants so they do not need to be saved in the database.
Can I migrate from WP Mail SMTP?
Yes. Free can import supported Primary Connection settings without deleting or modifying the original plugin data. Pro can also migrate supported additional connections, backup and routing configuration.
What does Backup Connection do?
If the selected connection fails, Pro can immediately try the same message once through a separate backup connection without creating fallback loops.
Does Pro include automatic delayed retries?
Yes. Eligible failures can enter a controlled retry queue. Attachments needed for retry are preserved in private storage outside public WordPress directories when a safe location is available.
What is stored in the Full Email Log?
Pro can store recipients, CC, BCC, Reply-To, sender, subject, redacted headers, complete HTML or text body, attachments and embeds, source, connection, status, delivery attempts, backup information and error details.
Can every logged email be sent again?
Yes. Failed emails show a Retry action, while successful and backup-delivered messages show Resend. Both actions are available from the log list and the detailed message view.
How is logged HTML displayed safely?
Pro uses an isolated preview that blocks remote content by default. Administrators can also inspect the stored raw message body, redacted headers and masked SMTP diagnostics for SMTP deliveries.
Can logged email content be deleted automatically?
Yes. Pro includes configurable retention, manual deletion and WordPress personal-data export and erase integrations.
What is Email Source Detection?
It identifies whether an email was initiated by WordPress Core, a plugin, a theme, an MU plugin, cron, AJAX, REST or another source.
What is included in the graphical email reports?
Daily, weekly or monthly HTML reports show the success rate, delivered and failed totals, messages recovered by backup and connection-by-connection statistics.
Can alerts and reports use a selected connection?
Yes. Pro lets you choose the connection used for failure alerts and scheduled reports, preventing them from being routed through an unrelated newsletter connection.
Does Pro include DNS diagnostics?
Yes. Pro can help inspect SPF, DMARC and DKIM-related configuration for the sending domain.
Does the plugin include open or click tracking?
No. Titanium Mail SMTP focuses on WordPress delivery, routing, recovery, logging and diagnostics rather than marketing tracking.
Is Titanium Mail SMTP a newsletter plugin?
No. It delivers WordPress emails. Newsletter plugins can use it as their mail transport, but campaign creation and subscriber management remain in the newsletter plugin.
Will it work with WooCommerce, memberships and security plugins?
Yes. It works with standard WordPress wp_mail messages, including transactional emails created by compatible plugins.
Can I remove all plugin data on uninstall?
Yes. The Misc settings include an option to delete Titanium Mail SMTP data during uninstall.
Do all Pro license sizes include the same features?
